Kia Throws the Engine in Full Throttle with New Optima Racecars

After carefully observing our favorite automaker for the past year we at Team Kia of El Cajon have come to the following conclusion: when Kia revs its engine, "go" means go and "stop" is nowhere in sight. Month after month we watched the South Korea-based company beat its sales record over and over again. We clapped and cheered when it took off with crowd-pleasing models such as the Kia Sorento. And now, we're ready to provide loyal fan support as it brings two supercharged Kia Optima race variants to the 2012 Pirelli World Challenge Championships.
While the feisty motorsport newbie only entered the racing game two seasons ago, it has already garnered a nod of approval with dual championships from the 2011 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Adding the World Challenge Optima SXs into the mix, Kia officials hope to rack up even more cred. Michael Sprague, VP of Marketing and Communications, says, "Expanding our motorsports footprint with the turbocharged Optima...will continue to build passion and enthusiasm for the brand with an entirely new fan base."1
Sliding into the Grand Tour Sport (GTS) segment, the Optimas will compete alongside some hefty household names. But the automaker isn't worried and neither is Team Kia of El Cajon. Thanks to a decidedly aerodynamic design and stellar drive, the Kia Optima is extremely well-suited for the competitive racing environment.
Like we said before, once Kia gets going, there's no stopping it. That's why Team Kia of El Cajon makes extra effort to stay on top of all new Kia models and initiatives as they are released.
