Second-Gen Kia UVO is Ready to Go

Tech-gurus listen up! Kia is officially rolling out its second-generation UVO system, called "UVO eServices." While the first iteration signaled the automaker's desire to position itself at the forefront of information technology, UVO2 opens up the window to a whole new world of connectivity for Kia drivers.

With the "eServices" name add-on, comes an innovative suite of telematics services. In order to unlock these services, Kia drivers must only hold the smartphone key. In a press statement, Kia explains, "The development focus for UVO eServices was to deliver the connectivity, services and notifications valued by vehicle owners while also adding safety features, diagnostic information and innovations such as our parked vehicle locator."1

In other words, you can think of the new UVO2 as your personal driving secretary. The improved system is built to handle everything from navigation to service reminders to road-side assistance. While teens of America may scowl at Kia for what Team Kia of El Cajon is about to announce, we know parents near and far will be thrilled to hear that the upgraded UVO system can even control curfew. That's right. Moms and Dads will be able to know when their kiddos stray too far away or stay out too late in their Kia vehicle.

So, the question remains, Which new Kia models will see UVO eServices first? To that, Team Kia of El Cajon doesn't have an exact answer. However, we can tell you that consumers can expect models to arrive at 541 North Johnson Ave El Cajon, CA 92020 with it starting later on this year. In the meantime, feel free to contact us with questions or stop by and engage with one of our friendly team members in person.
